After a sweltering two-week vacation in Italy where I basically lived in the flimsiest of fabrics, I’m now officially ready tuck into the cozy and chic sartorial gems that fall has to offer. There’s nothing quite like the exhilarating and exciting back-to-school feeling that September brings, and the easiest way to get into the fall spirit (aside from your first pumpkin spice latte) is with a few brand-spanking-new fall pieces to invigorate your closet. Whether you're looking to jump on some of fall’s biggest trends or invest in some classic pieces to see you through the new season, I’m rounding up le crème de la crème of fall fashion picks that the market has to offer. And, if you’re like me, you may have blown your budget on a few too many al fresco dinners this summer, all my picks I’m sharing today are under $100. Scroll below to update your closet for the new season without breaking the bank this September.

Not your average sweater! There are major Isabel Marant vibes going on with this turtleneck.

A knit skirt that'll turn heads. Dress it up or down or wear with matching sparkly knit blouse (also $50!).

These puff sleeves though…

A knit dress you can wear for day and night.

Just add high-waisted jeans for a cozy fall weekend look.

The chic belt detail makes this look super luxe.

These look way more expensive than their price tag.

Hiking boots and chunky flat soles are trending hard for fall. Get your hands on this cool-meets-comfortable khaki pair.

Everyone on the fashion circuit has been wearing Celine-esque lace-up boots.

Swap your open-toe sandals for chic ballet flats.

Nail two trends in one—snakeskin and square toes.

Back-to-work shoes, found.

A floral dress you can wear from work to weekend in style.

Leather separates are everywhere this season.

Layer a tissue thin turtleneck under this cool belted check dress.

Wear your frock in this season's trending pistachio hue.

For that fancy after-work event.

The most romantic date dress.

Expect compliments. Plenty of them.

Add a touch of bougie French-girl charm with a silk print scarf (as seen on the Celine fall runway).

The only piece of jewelry you need to add to your arsenal this fall.

A mock-croc bag adds a luxe touch to every outfit.

Elevate every look with these gold and pearl earrings.

Cinch at the waist over dresses, skirts, and blazers this season.

Up next, I found fall's chicest boots for under $150.

Clearly, Who What Wear editors love skinny jeans as much as the next person. We've broken down the best It girl–approved ways to wear them, the best brands to buy skinny jeans from, and how to wear them like celebrities. As ubiquitous as they are, however, they are far from the only denim option you need. As Nicole Kidman just proved, a sleek pair of wide-leg jeans are an absolute wardrobe essential—and might even convince you to hold off on your beloved skinny jeans that can feel restrictive on...

Kate Middleton's look for her latest public appearance was decidedly more, well, nautical than what we're used to seeing her wear. But as we recently reported, she has a new stylist (and former British Vogue editor) that's helping to craft her looks as of late, and she's keeping us on our toes. The nautical-inspired look is one that instantly gave us visions of chic Parisian girls. Sure, Breton stripes and navy, red, and white may be a bit of a French-girl cliché, but honestly, sometimes style c...
