Each season, we are greeted with a whole new class of covetable bags that end up defining the fashion of the moment. Looking ahead, we can already predict which styles will be carried by celebs and fashion insiders and are destined to become the most popular fall handbags of 2019. Whether spotted on runways or trickling into our Instagram feeds, there are plenty of cool bags that have already started to gain traction. So which bags are worthy of the investment this year?

From affordable bags priced under $300 to the next styles to know about from luxury brands, ahead I’m highlighting the ten key handbags that will be everywhere this fall. We’re seeing some styles that tap into this season’s big bag trend, some that are retro-inspired, and others that bring a modern spin to a heritage bag. Go on to see which bags made the cut, why we’re predicting they will be huge, and of course shop all ten of them for yourself.

While Bottega Veneta has had a steady stream of coveted bags, including the pouch and Arco silhouettes, the padded cassette is set to be the defining bag style for the brand this fall.

If you're in the market for a great vintage-inspired bag, look no further than Gucci's 1955 horsebit bag, which was re-created based on an archival design from over 60 years ago. It brings in some of the house's classic elements like monogram fabrics and equestrian details.

Meet Lola, the latest bag from Burberry that we're seeing on every fashion insider. With a quilted leather finish and heavy gold chain handle, it's the perfect style to carry you from the office to the evening.

With versions spotted on both the Karl Lagerfeld's final collection and at Virginie Ward's first show, the Chanel 19 bag is destined to be the next It bag for the house. The flag bag is available in three sizes, a range of finishes including tweed and leather, and with chunky hardware that makes it feel entirely modern.

Paco Rabanne revived its iconic 1969 Chainmail Bag, and it has easily become one of the most popular styles of the year so far. We see no signs of it slowing down, so it remains a key investment piece.

Louis Vuitton's multi-pochette bag won't be available to buy until October, but it has already been spotted on fashion insiders and is destined to be an It bag this fall. While you might not be able to get your hands on one yet, right now you can order other bags from the LV pochette family.

Rather than a specific bag shape, Dior's most popular style this fall comes down to the color: matte black. The luxe finish is new to everything from its iconic Saddle Bag to its Lady Dior bags (and more).

Prediction: Wandler's Georgia bag is set to become a fixture on the street style scene. The brand has a knack for designing cult accessories, and I think this will be the next one.

Each season, Staud unveils a new bag that instantly gains a cult following among the fashion set. This fall, it will be the Moon tote—a fun, circular shape that is very Instagram-worthy.

The hobo is back with Altuzarra's Play bag—a style we're predicting will be in demand this fall as fashion insiders reach for larger silhouettes.

Next, how to pull off fall's big boot trend.

Clearly, Who What Wear editors love skinny jeans as much as the next person. We've broken down the best It girl–approved ways to wear them, the best brands to buy skinny jeans from, and how to wear them like celebrities. As ubiquitous as they are, however, they are far from the only denim option you need. As Nicole Kidman just proved, a sleek pair of wide-leg jeans are an absolute wardrobe essential—and might even convince you to hold off on your beloved skinny jeans that can feel restrictive on...

Kate Middleton's look for her latest public appearance was decidedly more, well, nautical than what we're used to seeing her wear. But as we recently reported, she has a new stylist (and former British Vogue editor) that's helping to craft her looks as of late, and she's keeping us on our toes. The nautical-inspired look is one that instantly gave us visions of chic Parisian girls. Sure, Breton stripes and navy, red, and white may be a bit of a French-girl cliché, but honestly, sometimes style c...
