Can you believe it’s almost winter? I can’t for so many reasons—namely the fact that my closet is the furthest thing from prepared. Not only have I been slow to gather up my summer clothes and put them into storage, but I’ve been even slower to break out my cold-weather gear from last year or shop for anything new. Luckily, when I put my mind to it, that last part is pretty easy for me. After all, it is what I do for a living.

Most recently, I spent several hours combing through Nordstrom, Net-a-Porter, and Shopbop in order to single out my absolute-favorite picks from each site at the moment. As you can imagine, it’s a trove of winter-ready finds plus, some just-because pieces, too. If that sounds like just what you need (and even if it doesn’t), keep scrolling because I think you’re going to like what you see.

This lingerie-inspired dress just looks so expensive.

Meet your new work jacket.

This will never not be cute.

What you'll layer under all your cool coats.

Meet your winter going-out top.

Half our editors lived in these last winter.

When you can't decide between a teddy and a utilitarian coat.

I would wear this with black jeans every single day.

Another team favorite.

The definition of cozy-chic.

An on-trend boot that's perfect for wearing every day.

Any dress that looks this good with ankle boots is an easy yes.

You've got the shoes, now it's time to get yourself invited to a party.

A great winter basic.

As if it wasn't good enough, it's also multifunctional. Wear this as a dress, jacket, or top.

Everyone needs a pair of everyday earrings.

The Attico girls can do no wrong in my book.

All you need to know about this is that my mom approves.

Everyone needs a simple black ankle boot.

The matching blouse is a must.

Isn't this fun?

So good.

Leave it to Alexander Wang to make the coolest trousers.

A cool alternative to black that's as easy to wear.

One word: flattering.

Perfect for wearing with jeans on repeat.

Everything is better in snake this season.

It's about time to update your shades to something with more of a winter vibe.

No one makes a printed mesh turtleneck like Ganni.

Knee-high boots are having a major moment right now.

I think I should own this.

Everone needs one good basic black sweater.

Perfect for layering over turtlenecks.

I think I just fainted.

An easy yes.

We all have a friend who needs this top in their life.

The black blazer is one of the most essential basics if you ask me.

When I still lived in L.A., I considered this fall footwear.

So much going on here that I love.

My favorite tank now comes in black!

I could stare at this all day.

This brand is among the coolest right now.

Up next? I showed my mom 33 It bags, these are her favorites.

Clearly, Who What Wear editors love skinny jeans as much as the next person. We've broken down the best It girl–approved ways to wear them, the best brands to buy skinny jeans from, and how to wear them like celebrities. As ubiquitous as they are, however, they are far from the only denim option you need. As Nicole Kidman just proved, a sleek pair of wide-leg jeans are an absolute wardrobe essential—and might even convince you to hold off on your beloved skinny jeans that can feel restrictive on...

Kate Middleton's look for her latest public appearance was decidedly more, well, nautical than what we're used to seeing her wear. But as we recently reported, she has a new stylist (and former British Vogue editor) that's helping to craft her looks as of late, and she's keeping us on our toes. The nautical-inspired look is one that instantly gave us visions of chic Parisian girls. Sure, Breton stripes and navy, red, and white may be a bit of a French-girl cliché, but honestly, sometimes style c...
