Ah, Nordstrom. It's a beautiful place. I think that one of the many things that people love about Nordstrom is that it has one of the best selections of both high-end and budget-friendly items of any department store/e-tailer on the planet. So it's very feasible to add a $30 top and the latest designer It bag into your cart in one sitting. As you know, Nordstrom has some really epic sales that mark down thousands of items and typically last for at least a week. Luckily for us, the latest one—the Nordstrom Fall Sale—just launched, with tons of current-season items marked down by as much as 40% until November 17.

I'm well aware that good sales can be thoroughly overwhelming, but my strategy for tackling them is simple. First, I search for the high-end items I've had my eye on all season (to see if they're finally marked down), and then I start exploring the cheap thrills to stock up on basics like denim and turtlenecks. That's exactly what I did here, so in case you don't have time to weed through thousands of items like I did, scroll away! First up: my favorite splurge items, followed by the cheap thrills I'm losing it over.

I don't know about you, but I've been stalking this jacket for months.

Bady doll is the dress silouette of the season.

Buy once, wear forever.

The pink accent makes this cult-favorite bag even better.

Stop what you're doing because this blazer is perfect.

I call this cool-girl holiday party attire.

The fact that this is dark green as opposed to black makes me want it even more.

Because this has black and brown in it, you can wear it with everything.

It may seem like a lot to pay for a T-shirt bodysuit, but just look at it!

A. This looks like a work of art. B. Gucci never goes on sale.

I happen to love this modern take on a classic Burberry trench.

I can't think of one reason not to buy this cozy fleece.

The knee-boot trend is just too big (and chic) to ignore.

Wear this with black suede boots and a chunky black cardigan to make it fall-friendly.

Alert: Everyone's favorite Levi's style is on sale.

I actually like these more than the Dr. Martens combat boots everyone has.

At $29, I'd buy this in all four colors.

I love how elevated these polished cargo pants look.

I predict these will be sold out by week's end.

I own these in blue denim and can attest they're amazing.

I found your new winter statement coat.

I seriously can't believe this highly rated bra is on sale.

If you haven't gotten yourself a pair of snake boots, what are you waiting for?

Time to stock up on pretty tops (like this) to wear with skinny jeans and such.

I recommend layering this cute tank over fitted turtlenecks.

A rain jacket that's actually cute? Adding to cart.

I don't know about you, but I'm in dire need of some new athletic sneakers.

This is on-trend, looks cute with jeans, and is $18. What more do you need to know?

Because the buttons end at the perfect place, you don't even need to tuck this in.

This blouse would easily fit into the wardrobes of women of all ages.

I love the shape of the heel on these.

And last but not least, a new pair of skinny jeans to wear with pretty much everything else in this roundup.

Next, 34 Nordstrom and Bloomingdale's buys for when you desperately need basics.

Clearly, Who What Wear editors love skinny jeans as much as the next person. We've broken down the best It girl–approved ways to wear them, the best brands to buy skinny jeans from, and how to wear them like celebrities. As ubiquitous as they are, however, they are far from the only denim option you need. As Nicole Kidman just proved, a sleek pair of wide-leg jeans are an absolute wardrobe essential—and might even convince you to hold off on your beloved skinny jeans that can feel restrictive on...

Kate Middleton's look for her latest public appearance was decidedly more, well, nautical than what we're used to seeing her wear. But as we recently reported, she has a new stylist (and former British Vogue editor) that's helping to craft her looks as of late, and she's keeping us on our toes. The nautical-inspired look is one that instantly gave us visions of chic Parisian girls. Sure, Breton stripes and navy, red, and white may be a bit of a French-girl cliché, but honestly, sometimes style c...
